Jesus said: 'Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.' Matthew 24:44.
'The ministry of the gospel is to present the Truth which must be received, in order for people to be sanctified and made ready for the coming of the Lord.'
The Truth for Today Sabbath School lessons are written to give you a positive and personal understanding of:
• what it means to be ready
• and how to make ourselves ready
for the Coming of Jesus in glory, at His Second Advent.
The Word of God presented in these lessons will speak to your heart, for, as you study, the Holy Spirit will impress on you the changes you must make in your life. It is our prayer that the Scriptures will warm your heart as you study the Truth for Today Sabbath Lessons, and that they will kindle in you a desire to be ready to see Jesus when He comes - with peace and joy, and not with shame.
We pray too, that through the Word of God you will see with a new and fresh urgency, our sacred duty to reach out and help others get ready to meet Jesus when He comes.
'Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure.' 1 John 3:2-3.
